There's No Place Like Home

As we continue to weave the web and become One with the flow of life, it can be hard not to have those moments where suddenly everything stops making sense. Equally, are those moments; those lightning fast flashes where suddenly everything starts making sense. It is not uncommon to experience both in rapid succession, and to end up feeling more, but less, confused all at the same time.

This is all part of the path of awakening, but it is hard to ride the waves of change when such thoughts can fragment and unify at the same time. It is akin to taking one step forward and one step backward, and although this implies standing on the same spot, at a deeper level, much has been learned in the process.

The tangles and knots that we find ourselves in as we try to understand the path to Self can overwhelm and consume if we allow them to. If we step too deeply into analysis, we can lose sight of the bigger picture and disconnect from our Truth and essence. Of course, this is easy to say but somewhat harder to do, for we are human and we need to make sense in order to place ourselves in a flow of understanding; we want to feel a part of the Whole, but we need to understand what this means before we can truly feel it and be it.

Weaving the web and riding the waves are great ways of describing the somewhat rambunctious, rowdy, raucous, obstreperous and vociferous energies flooding into consciousness at the current time. As wave after wave laps the shores of our souls, we can feel pensive and unsettled with the bedlam and chaos. Yet, at the same time, there is something quite heart-warming about these waves, for each one brings knowing, wisdom and insight, and each one takes us closer to ‘home’.

‘Home’ is this context is the core of our beings; it is our soul. On the path of awakening or the journey to Self, finding home and living there is the goal, for once we are home, we are in Truth and in love. When we are home, everything feels different, but in essence nothing has changed, for we are simply remembering who we really are.

The journey home is more a state of being than an act of doing, for doing implies we need to go out and ‘get’ or find something, and the key to the door home on the journey to Self is not to be found in the world around us; for it is already within us waiting to be acknowledged and ‘turned’ in the lock to the door of the soul.

Although trying to understand is innately human, there is a sense that we need to open up more to feeling ‘home’ now as we open up the door to the soul and step more consciously into our essence and Truth. We can all too easily get lost by the wheels of the mind turning and trying to seek out answers, and whilst this will never stop (this is part of our evolution), the journey within is less about reasoned understanding but more about open-hearted at-Oneness; a feeling of inner unity and love, and a sense of belonging that is beyond questions and the mechanics of the mind.

In a way, these moments of knowing and un-knowing are representative of the pendulum within slowly finding stillness, and whilst this can feel deeply unsettling, it is an important part of the awakening process. Whilst there will be days when everything ‘makes sense’ followed by days of abject confusion and bewilderment, the key to riding these waves is to stay conscious and aware of the stillness within.

Although this stillness might feel like we are (metaphorically) sitting in the eye of the hurricane or at the heart of a twister, the more we step into the stillness, the less affected we are by the bombardment of the waves. It is important not to distance ourselves from these, for we need to experience them in order to awaken, but at the same time, the more we centre in stillness, the more we connect to the amazing and incredible joy of being ‘home’...

The Sunshine After The Rain

There can be no denying the intensity and vigour of the wave upon wave of shift lapping the shores of our souls at the present time. Whilst there are times when we can feel lost in the currents, there are other times of crystal clear clarity and vision which inspire us to have faith and to keep on, keeping on.

With the vim and vigour of these shifts amplifying now, they are ricocheting deeply into our hearts, souls and lives, opening us up to the full majesty and magnificence of divinity. When we truly feel ourselves as a part of the Divine, everything changes; to reach such a stage takes courage and strength, for it involves going within and validating the Self. At the same time it involves letting go of the need for external validation and becoming truly at peace with our Selves. This is not about ego; it is about acceptance and openness.

When we step beyond fear and open up to our natural and divine state of being, we loosen those shackles that have bound the mind like ivy around a tree, and we begin to feel the power of free thinking and positive intent. This goes beyond positive affirmations, to a place of deep inner knowing and faith.

It is important to realise that every single one of us is a part of the Whole, and, as a result, we all have access to Divinity and to the power within. Of course, it is how we use this power and embrace this Divinity that ultimately shapes and defines our lives, and our destinies.

With such powerful shifts lapping the shores of the soul, it is understandable that so many amongst us are feeling lost, alone, uncertain and confused. Opening up to our Divinity is not for the feint hearted, for it involves opening up all of the senses and the soul to the true awe and power of the Divine and of our Selves. Whilst it would be great if this process was all ‘sweetness and light’ and fluffy pink bunnies; for most of us, it isn’t. There are likely to be days when the dark nights of the soul feel endless, and there are likely to be days when the senses go into overload where it is hard to take in the vibrating, heaving mass of energy in every single corner of existence; it is as though we become ‘too awake’ and our senses cannot take it all in.

However, there are also likely to be days when we see the new dawn breaking and we feel clarity in our hearts and souls. There will also be days when the world will feel more ‘alive’ than ever before: every tree, every leaf, every insect, every grain of sand – everything moves into sharper focus and brighter colour, and we become even more aware of the vibrations and the energy of Creation. Such moments instil hope and faith, for as well as sensing the world around us, we also sense the world within us and feel a growing sense of peace that we are becoming Whole and embracing our true state of being.

So, when we have those days or those moments which stop us in our tracks and open up our hearts and souls to the wonder of All, we should embrace the moment and become One with the magic and the inspiration.

These tumultuous times are challenging us on so many levels, and it is all too easy to feel like pawns in a massive game of Universal chess, but when we connect to the stillness that lies at our cores, we re-centre and the changing currents start to dance with us and through us, rather than around us to confuse us.

On those days when the rains come, we can feel the heaviness of the grey skies and the chill of the damp or we can accept that the rain is playing its part in watering the soul, just as it waters the land and gives life to the crops. We can resist the rain, but it is an integral part of the cycle of life; once we accept this, we become One with it. So, when the shafts of sunlight dance on the glistening water drops as the rain starts to ease, we can finally feel the joy of being fully conscious and awake...

The Universal Flow

As we continue to awaken and stir, there is a powerful air of inspiration stirring deeply within that is calling each of us to step consciously into the Universal Flow in order to become Whole. Part of this process involves letting go of the resistance (something we all have on some level, for that is part of being human), and this takes courage, vision and strength, for it involves facing our Truth and facing our souls and letting go of the storylines and beliefs that have moulded, shaped and defined our lives.

Life experiences often create storylines and belief patterns, for this is our way of understanding the experience and making sense of what happened. Yet, all too often, such storylines can stifle and contain our true essence as we try to protect ourselves and avoid feeling that way again. Of course, not all storylines are negative in essence, but even positive ones can end up stifling, for they can dance and sway taking us away from being centred and feeling Whole; we can get lost in the dance and lose sight of the bigger picture and the journey home (to Self).

There are times when we need to face our storylines and lean into them in order to understand them, but there are times when we need to acknowledge them and set them free. Sometimes, trying to understand them becomes onerous and draining, for we can become even more consumed by them in the process. It is important to accept that these storylines have shaped and defined our lives, but at the same time, it is important to realise that they only continue to shape our lives if we allow them to.

Such a realisation is a big one, for once we can accept this we can see that by changing these storylines, we can change the shape of our lives. This is not a new concept, but it is one that so many struggle with; self-knowledge and self-awareness is power, and when we open up to this and embrace it, we stop being powerless pawns in the storylines of our lives and instead become the author with pen in one hand and a fresh, crisp page in the other. Whilst this doesn’t mean that we won’t face challenges or hardship on the road ahead, it does mean that our perceptions of this have changed enabling us to realise the true and majestic force of our strength, our courage and our Truth so we can face the future with vision, power and love.

So, as we sit with pen poised and ready to write the next chapter of our lives, we need to be clear about what we truly want. Whilst many of us have ideas and dreams, goals and visions, shaping these into something more tangible is important, for if we cannot know what we want, how can we ‘write’ it into being? We all have differing perceptions of abundance, happiness, joy, wealth and bliss, and this is what makes humanity such a diverse and complicated heaving mass of souls. Yet, it seems important now to have the courage to stand up tall in order to declare our own vision of abundance and to connect to the intent of this vision in order to give it shape, energy and form.

As we re-write the story’s of our lives and let go of the storylines that no longer define us, we can feel like a true part of the Universal Flow; we become One with it and become it as we  merge with the currents and find our true state of being...
